The thing about this film that blew me away was that I didn’t see it until almost 100 years after it came out and the issues discussed in the film are STILL happening in today’s congress.

Incredible movie with themes that still ring true today. I do wish I had been able to see it when it first came out and not now, when we are at such a place in the US that Jeff Smith’s honor and values really do seem to be lost on our leadership, and the ending was quite abrupt, but for a second there, I actually felt some semblance of pride in my country and what it was meant to stand for again.
