mothra is my favorite godzilla character and i was not let down by her appearance. such an interesting narrative with a pretty epic fight for the time, and the little women genuinely carry the rest of the film. very enjoyable

One of the best Showa-era Godzilla films. It’s a fun, campy, yet serious critique of the unchecked capitalism that swept 1960s Japan, elevating it above standard monster flicks. Beyond the sharp subtext, the titanic kaiju battles and special effects are absolute highlights.
