We watched it in Spanish class in Spanish so I had no idea what was going on but it was better then actual class

How was Mike Wazowski not scary. Imagine going for a midnight snack and seeing him crawl out of a corner and running towards you

I love this movie so much. A great prequel to one of my favorite Pixar films. This is one of Pixar’s most underrated movies. Great animation and great characters. I loved the dynamic between Mike and Sully and how their friendship evolves.

This movie deserves more appreciation. It didn’t feel like a cash-grab prequel, but more about the plot expressing the harsh reality of wanting to pursue a career in something, but may not get it because of things out of your control. It’s a tragic thing that many people face.

A run of a mill college story that I think could have gone in a more earnest route. My biggest issue was that the movie’s world has too simple of a worldview to have an interesting conflict even for a children’s film. This has its charming cute funny colorful moments but a lot…

The fact that this is a prequel was the perfect move because making a movie about the laugh floor would have been terrible. The fact that it focuses on Mike and how nobody believes in him in terms of what he wants to do is something a lot of people can relate to, myself included.

As an overall film it’s kinda meh, but as a Monsters Inc prequel it was good. I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece prequel film, just something to fill in the blanks. They did it, but that’s also kinda all they did, it doesn’t feel finished at times narratively

6.2 - another title on my list of movies that didn’t need to be made. Disney just capitalizing on nostalgia. Another overall forgettable story. I did appreciate that it was a prequel and gave us some cool background for Mike and Sully’s friendship

Whereas I agree with others that this prequel was not needed to further the Monsters Inc universe, Pixar sure put made an entertaining backstory to our beloved monster characters.
