Romero’s most Hitchcockian film—Vertigo meets The Birds. Monkey Shines is a smart, tense character study wrapped in 80s horror. Don’t let the toy monkey cover fool you. It’s creepy, thoughtful, and totally underrated. Romero was more than just zombies.
