Very confusing at the start, too much information dropped on the viewers. Also the editing and scenes at the start seemed a bit lacklustre. After the start tho it definitely got better. The CIA heist scene one of the most iconic spy/ action scenes ever. Train scene also very good

It’s a goooood classic action film. Soundtrack is great, enough plot twist, great stunt scenes.

It’s a great start to a marathon in committing myself to.

very boring, and I think I can't stand the way Tom Cruise "acts"

There's no doubt that this movie is iconic, but only bits of it, little bits even. They rammed up too many people, places, and things, most with the same type of writing. Overloaded what I was taking in and as a result, felt underwhelming. I ended up forgetting or not paying attention to what I should have been and I've done the same on every rewatch. The sequels definitely improve but as a start, it needed to be a lot more solid. A wobbly start to a strong franchise. Iconic score, fantastic visuals, and action/stunts, it's mission impossible, you know what to expect.

Story was a bit muddy with information overload, but it had a nice twist. The action sequences were top notch. The CIA HQ scene is one of if not the most iconic heist scene ever. Looking forward to the next ones

Loved the twists

Despite the cramped info dumps and some unreasonable/inconsistent characters motivations. Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and the creative directional aesthetic, delivers an iconic spy film. Making it a entertainingly movie experience and a blueprint for others to follow into the 21st.

I mean come on, a classic start to what may be the most consistently well done movie franchise of all time. I’m not saying the best, but you can’t name a franchise that’s gone on this long that has been as consistently good.

Watched this a long time ago and I still consider it a classic every time I watch it. Something about its suspense and really thrilling action sequences turn it into something I thoroughly enjoy a lot. On top of its good narrative, Cruise delivers a spectacular performance. 10/10

This was a fun watch, though I was very confused for a lot of it- there was a lot of info to catch up with but I understood it all by the end. Plot twist was good too.
