Great movie to watch while on drugs on a plane.

Solid Sandra Bullock film. The only issue I had with it was I felt the romance felt a bit rushed. The relationships between some of the characters felt forced as we didn’t really see them develop as much as I would have hoped. Other than that, it is a funny and entertaining film.

I LOVED THIS FILM! Sandra Bullock films never disappoints. However, I felt that the romantic was rushed and not developed enough to feel genuine. The characters seemed to be in love just because the movie needed them to be, rather than showing their love story unfold naturally.

5.5/10 Defo a Light hearted fun watch nothing crazy tho but I am most likely gonna watch the second movie aswell

Bit of a random watch in my unintentional Sandra Bullock watch through, my parents just clearly love a bit of Sandy B!

Going in, I assumed this would feel pretty outdated in regard to views on pageants and the like, but alas not… instead your met with something that feels resoundingly modern in its portrayals and writing. Aside from “politics”, the film meanders and doesn’t focus on the best elements anywhere as near as it should, but for what it is, and the film’s intention and target audience - it is very funny.

Never knew I needed a gay Michael Caine in my life… but I guess I did. A very funny performance, walking the line between comedic intent without causing stereotyped offence - but I’d expect nothing less from an actor of his high stature. Sandra is obviously very good, one of the most suited roles I’ve seen from her. Benjamin Bratt was cool too, it’s a wonder how his career has never properly taken off.

Will likely watch the sequel in the coming days, although the reviews are nowhere near as favourable…
