an integral and impressive short film that delivers one of the first and most successful surreal narratives. the cinematography is beyond inventive, as is the symbolism and editing. holds up extremely well today; make sure to watch with the backing score

Brief Thoughts: SOSOSO gorgeous and trippy and interesting. I think the person with a mirror as a face is PEAK character design and can be taken a million different directions as a metaphor

A truly fascinating piece of experimental cinema, Meshes of The Afternoon is perplexing and confusing yet manages to keep you intrigued. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen.
Wow this was so weird… I loved it. I can totally see how this inspired David Lynch. 8/10
