This by no means a bad film. The twists and turns as the story unfolds proves that. However, the tone of the film isn’t very exciting. It didn’t keep me as engaged as I hoped it would. There’s were moments where I felt tired because the story felt like it was going nowhere.

The way the story unfolds and the way we receive the context and clues to the mystery is masterfully done, it’s hard to believe this is Christopher Nolan’s first film. The concept is so cool and everything about this movie is great.

When you take the films story as a standard linear layout, you can kinda see some irregularities about some of the characters choices and what actually happens, it seems like some moments done contribute anything or do anything to the story, but they’re relevant because you don’t know the context or know why it’s there in the first place, they only matter because you don’t know what’s happening. Sometimes the only meaning they have is to provide the viewer with some context and to explain certain things for the audience and don’t really serve another purpose for the story.

Despite this little complaint, it’s an amazing movie that’s expertly crafted, it’s suspenseful and mysterious and definitely catches your attention the whole way through.
