Marie Antoinette
this movie reminded me why I love female directed films. Her talent is best shown in how seamlessly a rock n roll soundtrack blends with a sugary pink historical fiction. Doesn’t help that the fashion and visuals were historically accurate and GORGEOUS

not my favorite but i cant deny the beautiful visuals, costumes and sets were so so pretty but the american accents really threw me off and did not leave my mind throughout the entire movie

Honestly they could’ve have shown more historical events and how they died and why people were mad. I hate they had american accents because they’re in France. But it’s okay movie and it shows part of her life. 7/10

Marie Antoinette
an excellent film that succeeds in every regard, baffling critics and subverting expectations of period pieces. kirsten dunst is amazing as is her portrayal, charismatic and immature. beautifully shot, wonderfully acted and scripted, but the fucking music; aphex twin forever

Marie Antoinette
A rock and roll version of history, scored entirely with pop music and reflected through Coppola’s modern sensibilities. Marie Antoinette has flaws, but still remains a good enough film with tremendous set and costume design.

So good if I could live a movie it would be this one (even though she gets beheaded in the end) I went to her bedroom and it was so cute

Truly an amazing movie! Seems a big juvenile on the surface based on casting, cinematography, and soundtrack, but it is truly a beautiful film in the way that it tells the truth about Marie Antoinette and the movie becomes more mature as she herself becomes more mature.

I’m not crazy about this movie, but I appreciate the vision and aesthetic enough to give it a thumbs up. The pacing is pretty frustrating and there’s not much character development, but it has it moments. I like the relationship between Marie and Louis and the sometimes dry humor

what a visually stunning movie- Coppola perfected the set design, costume design, and had an awesome soundtrack.
