first time i tried to watch i felt asleep and yeah that says a lot about the experience of watching this, great performance from Angelina but i think the movie is very boring

“I will sing when I am ready to sing”

love angelina and it’s a somewhat interesting movie. The character the movie is based around is uninteresting and unimportant…which makes for a dull story baseline. Everything else around the movie is wonderful except the core story is unremarkable.

The cinematography in this film is gorgeous and makes you really dive deep into Maria’s story and makes you curious to know more about her and her artistry

No words can describe the beauty of this movie. You simply just have to watch it to understand.

Plot was lackluster, visuals and audio are stunning.

This was my first AJ film and I was blown away by her performance. Unsure if it was accurate tho. This film was pure art, but a little too much of it. Sometimes the film felt it focused more on style rather than content, but I did love the cinematography. Mixed feelings.

will not deny the beautiful production of this film, but this was all that it was good at. angelina’s talent is spectacular, but even she couldn’t save this film from its own dreadful dullness. ik this a biopic, but there is nothing interesting in the way they presented her life.

First 2/3 was a little here and there. Last 1/3 was beautifully done. Angelina as she’s never been before. Fantastic performances.

A confusing start and it’s just really slow. I wasn’t prepared for the level of opera singing.

art direction deserves a standing ovation: the sets, the costumes. gosh visually this was so beautiful & elegant!! the acting was fantastic, but the pace of the story was lacking, & they took some 'creative liberties' which i don't love...
