A bit hard to follow for a while but the payoff is worth it even if just for one powerful scene. I really loved how much Māori culture was embedded into the fabric of the film.
I do wish it was scarier and more intense, as it largely felt like a drama. I think it could have pushed things a little further. But it was very moving and very well shot and I enjoyed it.

I WAS HOOKED. Absolutely love the representation of the Maori culture, wish I could see more of this in modern movies.

i was utterly confused for a good hour but the creep factor was brilliant and i loved learning more about the culture.

Very original folk horror in the sense that it deals with a subject we rarely hear about.

Sick. Anti-colonial feminist film about a Māori woman kidnapped and looking for information on her past. She’s somehow well versed in her native language and customs, and is drawn to the house of her captor. She gets revenge
