a bit of a snooze fest

This one doesn’t get enough appreciation. There’s a reason fans want this man back as our Superman 🤫

This is a mixed bag. The visuals are incredible and the action is non stop and breathtaking. Theirs a great cast with Costner and Crowe standing out and a great villain in Shannon. The first half of the movie is engaging, and emotional but it loses the plot in the last half

“Nothing sir, I just think he’s kinda hot.” I mean, she isn’t lying, but WHY THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THAT LINE IN THIS MOVIE!!!!! THIS ISN’T SUPERMAN!!! HE LITERALLY CAUSED A 9/11 LEVEL EVENT!!! THE WRITING IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!

It has both great and disappointing aspects. The casting was excellent. Henry Cavill portraying the average man with super potential, and Michael Shannon giving nothing but pure menace. The designs and fight sequences were impressive and very much realistic. The character development suffered from poor writing and it made the epic, world-ending destruction feel like a letdown. Some scenes gave me goosebumps, others made me claw my brain out. I would have been more forgiving if this wasn't basically the only Superman project. This could have been an enjoyable perspective, but unfortunately, the DCU is inconsistent. James Gunn has all my trust.

Very solid film. I always hear DC getting a bad rep for their movies, but this a pretty good start to the DCEU. Henry Cavill IS Superman. It was quite long, but it went by really quickly. Excited for the next one.

The music, casting, pacing, action…everything, it’s just incredible. Arguably one of the best superhero live-action movies ever written. Seriously, I see no reason for even Marvel fans to not watch this movie, it’s very good and anyone from both fandoms would enjoy it.

i think DC gets too much hate, obviously marvel’s better, they’re not even in the same league. but i enjoyed this. great acting/pacing/story. henry’s so sexy 7/10

I enjoyed the Zack Snyder‘s serious take on Superman. It’s certainly not a perfect film but underrated in my opinion.

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life and it’s truly sad how bad it is and how bad superman as a character was just destroyed - the only good thing I can say is that some of the action sequences are mildly entertaining but other than that it’s terrible - he is responsible for the death of thousands of people in the city and what I think is the worst part of the movie is when he lets his dad die to a tornado - the whole point of his dads death is to teach him that he can’t save everyone, but he can save someone from a tornado - also he kills zod to save 5 people when he already killed thousands, it just doesn’t make any sense - they did not do justice to superman at all and they turned him into this upset, dark and realistic superman that is not what superman is supposed to be

The nostalgia.

It has a great story and good actors.

I think this movie is to blame for a lot of what the general public’s idea of Superman is. Superman isn’t the Jesus like figure he’s portrayed as, he’s just a farm boy from Kansas. this film fundamentally misunderstands its main character and suffers because of it

I have to be honest, DC can make some decent movies. And Hans wrote the score.
