Kevin Smith portrays the 80’s American dumbshit teen angsting over their dumb shit to a T. While yes it’s not completely polished or perfect, the dialogue, characters, and humor more than make up for it. Smith had a knack, like Hughes, for capturing the 80’s teen-just grittier.

Incredible movie. So fun and well written. I love Kevin Smiths work and style in this film.

Not the best Kevin Smith movie but at least top 3. Great snapshot of a place in time.
