this was so sad, but I loved it.
reminded me of requiem for a dream where you’re put into the shoes of a bunch of suffering characters.
great soundtrack too (Aimee Mann is so incredible).

my least favorite film from one of my all time favorite masters of the medium, an impressive yet overstuffed anthology film with a vast amount of ideas, themes, and concepts. the characters, writing, and cinematography are all strong; definitely worthwhile

very slow paced and confusing to watch, kept 5 stories going at the same time and didn't make much sense
