one of the more serious madea movies. and sure i agree that it suffers a bit from the lack of madea, but i actually enjoyed the story line and viola davis is great of course

if there is something tyler perry does well though, it is making the viewer absolutely despise the antagonist, because my God did i want leave linda bald

Madea goes to jail has a great story with a lot of emotional elements, but this is less of a Madea story than expected. This film dives deep into trauma, drug abuse, and corruption. It tells an actual important story and serves a great purpose.

This movie delivers exactly what fans love! Tyler Perry’s iconic character brings hilarious, unbridled energy behind bars, but the emotional story of redemption and forgiveness gives the movie a surprisingly heartfelt core. Hallelujer! ⚖️
