very sentimental and romantic depiction of a not so true story. I've seen better.

Every strong hearted believer inevitably gets to a breaking point.

What a beautiful & disheartening story. I’m sick to my stomach after watching this, but I feel like everyone should watch it.

Watched this back in 2012. One of the most outstanding heartbreaking films I’d seen. It has Konys inhumain work throughout and just not for faint of heart

Its ok, i like the guy and the mission, but it kinda doesnt have a resolution. Like is it better to be a dad full tim with his family in america or to be a preacher soldier in sudan. Still a good movie tho

Intense

Butler is in great form here as Sam Childers. With an amazing true life story, and a good script this is hardcore stuff. The movie has a lot of heart and is definitely affecting. It’s OTT in parts but generally well worth a watch
