This movie is like if your friend got really high and tried to explain quantum physics.

This movie genuinely made me believe dolphins are smarter than people and I hung onto and used that “fact” hundreds of times over my younger years. I don’t even remember the movie since I watched it so long ago. But I am upset about the dolphin misconception, sorry scar jo

Yea this movie was good I feel like I liked it a lot more when I was a kid I just feel like it got to sciencey and like brainy towards the end I like the action bits and kinda wished it was more of a girl gets powers beats bad guys and not a “oooo she became dust or whatever”

really interesting concepts and i loved that scene when lucy met lucy, the being that was shown and referenced in the first few minutes of the movie. i love that everything was connected and everything was nothing and vice versa. filming style was also representative of that!

god scarlett is such a babe. loved the concept so much. there’s a lot of knowledge, lowkey felt like a science class. the cinematography is gorg, the sound design is gas & the color pallet is beautiful. love seeing freeman perform. great story, it was so good until the end it felt a little rushed. not a fan of the ending tbh. nonetheless great film. 8 / 10

5.4 - Teen clay would have LOVED this. Ironically not a bad turn your brain off movie. Rapid pace, decent action, some cool shots. CGI hasn’t held up, & the screenplay is bad, adding 120,000 meaningless buzzwords & crossing the line into ridiculous & unrealistic too many times.

I did not realise this film had such a short runtime. I've watched it several times, and it has always felt much heavier than just 90 minutes. Luc Besson doing either action, thriller, or sci-fi has me sat. Luc Besson combining all three at once has me floating through time and space. I found the plot silly because I didn't really understand it, aside from reaching the brain's full potential, but then again, who knows? It played around with basic ideas and theories, and the visuals kept me glued. Great score, performances, pacing, and suspense.

if you've ever fanticized about becoming a super advanced thumb drive, then this is the movie for you!

It’s hard to give a film with so much energy and Scarlett Johansson just an ok review, but this film said so much without really saying anything. If you give into its silliness and not its entirely wrong scientific narrative, you can have a little fun with it.

I’m not saying clandestinely synthesized drugs would be a good idea, but imagine the potential if using them could unlock your brain’s full capacity.

This movie is so bad it’s upsetting. Johansson has to do this monotone shtick for most of the movie which gets dull immediately. There’s almost no tension after the first 20 minutes cuz she’s so overpowered. And the powers don’t look very cool. Nothing redeemable. RB score: 2/10

It’s an entertaining watch. The evolution of Lucy was nice to see unfold and once you give someone superhero powers in a movie I’m all about it.
