Nah Fr this movie was cute. Not mind blowing or game changing or imo the peak of gay cinema with the straight actor, but… it was aight lmao. Also SIMON WAS RIGHT! His friends suck.

First of all, the soundtrack was amazing. The actors did an amazing job. This movie shows real struggles the LGBTQ+ faces and I feel like it was represented so well. It brings us on the emotional path of coming out and finding what you want. It’s such a beautiful movie.

obviously made by cishet people for cishet people. if u want to see real actual queer life watch edge of seventeen (1998) or eastsiders. this is just pitiful

yes, there is better queer cinema with more accurate representation. however, the impact this movie had on me in 2018 after i had freshly come out cannot be understated.
