This was not a comedy by the way, just some what the hell moments
Very nearly a hate, very nearly a like. If you wanna watch a guys life fall apart you could watch this.
The characters were all insane. His wife, bitch, his friend a dick, his mother in law is evil, pure evil.

A heartbreaking/melancholic voyage into depression and addiction. The film is carried by Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s masterful performance as he portrays the previously named topics and it wouldn’t be as good if it wasn’t for him: There’s some fantastic use of lighting.

A full display of the 5 stages of grief. The letter as a metaphor for this process is profound, and it’s all tied together by Hoffman’s heartbreaking yet innocent performance.
