único presidente que não era um racista imundo, um facho ou um genocida de toda a história da latrina estadunidense. nao a toa, 50% dos filmes de presidente deles são desse cara. falta de alternativa. história cansada. personagem cansado. uma boa pessoa. a primeira e última.

If it wasn't a Spielberg or Daniel Day, I'd have given it more a dislike. I don't know how they do it but it caught the atmosphere of the time to exactly what my imagination thinks it was like. Dull, dark, damp, dusty, cold, and stenchy, especially during a brutal civil war. Unfortunately, the story and biopic side caught the same vibe too. The overacting from certain actors completely ruins scenes, it's crazy when you realise how stacked the cast is too. Everything was just a dramatised version of what most people already knew. Other than that, it's as you can expect, a timeless message about equality more than anything.

A solid movie with an incredible lead performance

Put it on in the background so didn’t really watch it lol. I thought it was gonna be more of his becoming president (I just read team of rivals) but it was all about the thirteenth amendment. Music and cast was good but that about it. Not my fav
