Sidney Poitier is the First Black Man to ever Win a Best Actor Oscar Award, and in his own words the road was a long one to get him to that spot wich paved the way for other black man 38 years later. It is an incredible performance with so much relatable elements to speak of.

Very charming little film that constantly puts a smile on your face, with many memorable scenes.  As usual, Sidney Poitier absolutely shines -- what a legend he was. 

"God is good.  He sent me a big strong man." 😅

I was supposed to read this in high school but since I was a bad student I didn’t but I’m glad I found the movie in college 😂🤫

Cute story. So much sass on both sides. They both learned that the project was bigger than them. Nice lesson about pride and gratefulness.
