i thought it was funny

It was enjoyable there a few overall story glitches I didn’t like but definitely worth the watch!

Great movie, great cast and of course great performance by Tiffany Haddish.

It was a refreshing comedy, a little different but still fun. 7.6 out of 10

I hoped for an inspiring comedy about female entrepreneurship, but was appalled by the crude, low-brow humor. It completely misses the mark for family-friendly entertainment.

The Director’s Eye:
The bright, glossy palette mimics the superficial cosmetics industry. As a Methodist valuing modesty, the characters’ celebration of casual hookups deeply clashed with my worldview. However, there is a buried message about loyalty, and Salma Hayek clearly has fun chewing the scenery as a villainous mogul. The generic pop score fits the flashy beauty world but is forgettable.

The Cuts:
The humor is incredibly distasteful. Exposing an infant to weed smoke at a baby shower crossed a line for me, setting a classless tone. Also, the second act really dragged, relying on loud, slapstick arguments instead of an engaging business conflict.

Verdict:
A crude, superficial comedy relying on raunchy gags over wit. Skip it.
