Horror movies have been on fire lately, pun very much intended. A horrific love story, but not any love, a love so strong, that even when you know it will hurt you, you just can’t walk away, it becomes the reason you live for, but also the one you die for. Really recommend it.

i really don’t think it was that good. The story was basically the same as It follows but gay, more freaky scenes than horror scenes. honestly the concept wasn’t great, pretty average. and not scary at all. and what was the point? don’t be gay? and like this was a horror movie, but it felt like they were just horny teenagers

This story is heartbreaking. The whole plot is a narrative on the dangers of homophobic environments on LGBTQ people, especially kids in these religious communities - the horror is very strong and incredibly effective despite not doing very much - the ending revealing the harsh truth of living in these environments, that the haunting effects of hatred and oppression never truly leave you and can chase you forever

Short but sweet. I mean bitter—sorry. The premise was simple, but the themes it explored were anything but. Somehow, that simplicity worked every single time. The intensity and adrenaline never let up, and by the end, I was wishing it had been longer.

the symbolism and metaphors in this movie are actually insane. the characters seeing possessed visions of their lovers and then being killed by them is a metaphor for suicide due to internalized homophobia (in my opinion). and those visions disappearing when around other people is a metaphor for having a support system around you to not let those terrible thoughts get to you. there’s actually so much more to this movie than i’ve mentioned, it’s so well thought out and deep. the cinematography of this film is actually so thought out and beautiful and everything else about this film is virtually perfect. 2026 is seriously the year for movies, especially horror ones

I was really hoping it was gonna be good but like the acting was meh and the plot wasnt solid
They didn’t build the relationship between the main characters well and for some reason they thought let’s make the main character a snitch
I thought it was gonna be better but it felt like they thought it being gay was the only requirement for being good bc we got no explanation of the dude who is doing these ceremonies or the other girl who is haunted by the spirit thingy

Sadly this felt lika a rip-off of "it follows" , but not only did it feel like a copy it also sadly felt so repetitive like they dident even try anything interesting, they basically just used the same scene over and over until 2 hours had passed and super predictable throughout.

Leviticus does something similar to It Follows but with a religious horror twist that makes it a solid movie on its own. It has some genuine creepy and scary scenes and elements that make it a great horror movie.

I think this was a very good movie. I will say this movie hit all the best points of horror, and I’m giving a bonus points for actually jumping scaring me.

A gay, romantic, fantastic horror story. I won’t say too much to avoid spoilers. I’ve not seen a movie that combined romance and scary in such a wonderful way.
