5.79/10. I’m sorry I really wanted to like this. But there is just too much singing for me. The overall story is great and acting is great too. But there’s only like 10 lines in a 2.5 hour movie that just normal speaking. Broadway shows have less singing than this.

Despite its faults, the story of "Les Misérables" is timeliness for a reason. There is something special about Claude-Michel Schönberg's music that makes you stand up to attention which makes the film enjoyable in spite of its imperfections.

A really solid movie, I genuinely wasn’t expecting them to be singing the whole time. My stand out was Russell Crowe, his version of “Stars” is one of my favorite songs in the movie.

Way too much songs even for a musical. There was basically no dialogue, they would just sing their lines, which really removed from the emotional impact of the story. 2-3 songs were really good though. Also a great packed cast. Great acting and a pretty interesting plot.
