i used to loveee this movie as a young kid so i decided to rewatxh it has very pedopholic undertones+ learned the director is a pedo plus there was supposed to be a sex scene which is just disgusting plus more gross stuff that (luckily) got cut

2/10-gave me the ick. The Director is a pedo and this film was an inspiration from his relationship with his first wife who was 15 and he was 31. She then got pregnant and married him at age 16. Just sick 🤢

Wanted to like this more as it’s a well crafted film with an interesting story, but there were some weird scenes. I can’t help but question why Mathilda was so sexualized in this. Her and Leon’s relationship was made with sexual intent, even tho it was cut from the film.

Weird one. Action scenes are good, but the relation between the protagonists is a bit creepy. The ending is a bit underwhelming.
