The movie takes its absurdity very very seriously. If it was a few minutes shorter, and an ending that doesn't outright quote the beginning of the movie, and we might have had something special here.

Paul Bettany is just sooooo good.
Creep factor: 👍🏻, story: 👍🏻, effects: 👍🏻. I thought the main actor was a bit weak but otherwise I’ve always been drawn to this apocalyptic religious battle that fights for the goodness in humanity.

I mostly watched this for Paul Bettany cause I love him and I also kinda liked the whole angel thing, but the movie felt kinda boring in my opinion since it mostly just all happened in one place except for the beginning and end of the movie. I guess I hoped for something more and I didn’t know mich about this before watching it. Wouldn’t say it was necessarily that bad of a movie, but I mean if you like angels and action and Paul Bettany then why not give it a go
