Paul Bettany is just sooooo good.
Creep factor: 👍🏻, story: 👍🏻, effects: 👍🏻. I thought Black was a bit weak but otherwise I’ve always been drawn to this apocalyptic religious battle that fights for the goodness in humanity.

The movie takes its absurdity very very seriously. If it was a few minutes shorter, and an ending that doesn't outright quote the beginning of the movie, and we might have had something special here.

As an action thriller, it’s good. As a horror it falls short. There’s a lot more they could have done with the concept and the body horror and gore, but alas. Wasn’t a bad movie. Probably won’t watch again.
