Such a pretty film. Fucking English dub fucked the start but when I switched it i could hear the emotions. Horrific stuff and Sean bakers influence is so obvious I loved it. Also boot googoo 💔little baby

a fantastic solo debut and easily a favorite for the year. incredibly touching and engaging with such an intimate yet powerful direction. fantastic performances and writing, and of course with sean’s perfect pacing; all of the girls are exceptionally talented and deserve it all

A film with such a strong sense of place and atmosphere, immersing you in the night markets of Taipei. Amazing performances, bold themes, and emotional realism. A family story that creates an honest depiction of hardworking life.

Immersing in the world is incredibly easy, watching with an eyes of a child. Great picture of how parentification affects young adults. Definitely the type of a movie that effect would change after a second time watching.

Loved the city aesthetic. Enjoyed the entire runtime and the cute little girl. But this family plot got dark and messy fast and I can’t see past it.

A drama that is far too complex, and goes beyond the taboo of what being left handed used to mean. It lost me at times, but it was a very nice story.
