I feel like this is essentially the quintessential Pixar short. Super simplistic and creative, but also super emotional with a really great message. This really captures some of their older shorts that, beyond just being funny, had really good emotional beats. Also the song is a banger, super sweet!! Good work Pixar 🫡

So beautiful. I Remeber them playing this before a movie at the movie theatre when it came out. It’s such a sweet short film and it’s done so beautifully. Turning volcano formation into a love story… who would have thought? But it’s just the sweetest. Send me someone to Lava ❤️🌋
