Late Night with the Devil

Wanted to see it but boycotting. Havent seen it and wont be. they cheaped out and use AI art WHICH IS THEFT so its getting an automatic dislike from me

Gonna start off and say I don’t give about the AI art because in my eyes its not really that big of a deal, AI art has been used for years now (10+) and its only really become a problem because consumer versions of it are being forced down everyones throat as of late (ya’ll had no problem with it for the past 10 years, find a better way to be a victim)

All that garbage aside, this movie is good, I enjoyed every bit of it and the practical effects really sold me and reminded me a little of the classics like Evil Dead II

Dang this was a let down. I can say I enjoyed it but I was just so disappointed in the execution and overall flow of the movie. The CGI was awful, the characters were unlikable, and it just wasn’t a clear plot or story. It had cool elements and suspense but also a dull slowburn

I liked the references to Bohemian Grove. But tbh I didn’t find this scary like pretty much at all so that was a big let down😕. I was expecting better ambiance. Acting was alright. Took forever to get to any of the paranormal and “scary” parts. Really only the last 30 minutes had anything going on. Ending was cool.🤷‍♀️

Lots of build to wtf moments. Kinda cool how the whole thing was filmed. Gotta say tons of crazy shit happens in this one. 7.1/10.

Late Night with the Devil was a devastating letdown for me and have to give it a lousy 4.7 🍿. The film had so much potential with its unique setup of a late-night talk show unraveling into chaos, and for a while, it built some great atmosphere and intrigue. The performances and 70s TV aesthetic were spot on, and it really felt like it was building toward something truly dark and memorable. Unfortunately, the ending fell drastically short of what it could have been. I was hoping they would take the story in a much darker, more demonic direction, but instead, it felt rushed and lacking the punch that the buildup promised. It’s a film that had all the right ingredients but didn’t quite stick the landing.
