I think I should start by mentioning the fact that I am a 'woke' feminist. That said, I absolutely hated this movie. I agree with most of the points raised, although I disagree with how they're presented, almost wholly. I mean, who is this made for exactly? The incoherent, condescending, high-school bullet-point presentation of a story turns out to be more misogynistic than the misogyny it lazily attempts to dissect. Cohen's acting is as offensive as his character, and making him unaware of his own selfishness takes out any, if not all, the blame the film constantly projects. The cinematography and soundtrack are jarring but match the Netflix slop standard. Sam Raimi's 'Send Help' effectively did more 20 minutes into its runtime than this did in its 90.

okay i’ll say i liked this only because i appreciate the inspiration of the writers to at least understand that the world is made for men and women are always a second thought. the execution however was terrible, just giving women “male traits” doesn’t exactly fix the issue lmao

good concept just poorly executed imo🙃
even though it is a comedy, i wish they added more serious scenes in it. it just made the whole idea seem like a ‘joke’, which i get is thepoint but unfortunately the actual reality isn’t a joke and should be taken more seriously tbh🫤

good intentions but terrible execution, the men not realising their own misogyny and effect they have is inaccurate, and the acting is mediocre.

Ladies First starts as a feminist role-reversal comedy, but accidentally ends up saying “anyone with power becomes toxic.” Instead of critiquing sexism or patriarchy, it just flips the same stereotypes onto men. Messy message, wasted potential honestly.

Great concept, creative visuals and ideas, but I feel like it fell a bit flat for me. Honestly the way he got back kinda defeats the point because he didn’t exactly work for it? He did change of course, but it’s not everyday that women can just use a lawsuit to become the CEO.

Even though I dislike Sacha Cohen as a person, I do usually love his movies, but wow was this movie bad. Not funny, boring, good message but so so overt and heavy handed. Rosamund Pike and Charles Dance were so badly wasted in this movie.
Sacha Baron Cohen can do so much better.

dumb but decent. great acting, poor script. predictable but still a bit fun. 4/10

An okay movie that was very exaggerated. It could have been funnier if they actually made funny jokes but I didn’t really laugh at all

I get the concept but wtf was that storyline??? Made no sense idk don’t watch this

although comedic in delivery, it is so close to the truth of how women are treated which hits close to home.
