I will gush and rave about this film for as long as I am fucking standing. The dude who created this twisted and whimsical journey is my absolute hero. Despite it being dated, it holds up. I love the weird and quirky characters, the seemingly beautiful and eerie maze etc etc etc.

I’ll always be a sucker for a coming of age movie centered around a girl with “Neverland-esque” dreams struggling to let go of childhood and move on to adulthood. This movie shows that it’s okay to be mature AND have room in your heart for fantasy whimsy. And Bowie 4ever 🫶🏼
