a non-narrative documentary showing nature, humans, and technology. my favorite parts are the shots of people. an interesting look into a time i wasn’t alive to see. my favorite translation of koyaanisqatsi: “a state of life that calls for another way of living.”

This would go crazy on a trip and honestly such a timeless doc

The most ironic part is watching this on a streaming service. I’d be in a complete trance and it would cut to “do you have heartburn?? Try prilosecOTC” Man, this is why I’m building my physical media collection.

a beautiful and mesmerizing visual art film telling a deep story about the human race. it is sooooo stunning to look at

Recently got to see this film with the Philip Glass Ensemble playing the score live to the film. An altering and sweeping experience. Some of visual imagery has aged well and taken on new nuances and meaning.

Put this on as background while trading a drawing back and forth with my SO.
Mesmerizing visuals, strange soundtrack interesting peak into everyday life from the 80s.
Eerie, the only drawback was sometimes the music sounded like demonic chants

i had to watch this documentary in my film studies class and thought i was going to hate it but it was actually kind of soothing and interesting. it made me think of the world a bit differently and the soundtrack is amazing
