There's so much good about this, as well as bad. I loved the visuals of absolutely everything. I can never understand how these movies are real. The sound and violence pierces right through you. The cinematography and editing was beautiful, stunning shot after shot. My problem is with the casting and character work. The amount of times I got annoyed at genericness and point blank clichés is ridiculous. I wish we had more of a Kong point of view, rather than 9 different storylines that make less sense than kong. The score was annoying, too. It could have been epic, but it just felt meh.

The cast was packed and the visuals were great but the script and some acting scenes felt cliche and cheesy

not good when comparing to King Kong 2005. There was some ok parts and interest but overall saw this Kong much less interesting then the 2005 one. Wasn’t interested in the plot, John C Reilly made it too jokey, didn’t care for the other creatures. Thought there was a lot of anticlimactic deaths. Was excited to see John Goodman and his role in starting Monarch but hated his death scene
