Definitely will rewatch as the plot might be a little confusing at first but this is a solid film, the chemistry between Robert and Val was charmingly hilarious, great visuals and colors, frenetic action that will you keep you on edge and lots of funny lines and witty humor

A film that explores the dark comedy genre in a very unique and interesting way.

This film was very similar to one of my favourite comedy films, The Nice Guys, which was also directed by Shane Black.

Robert Downey Jr, Val Kilmer and Michelle Monaghan were all terrific.

I miss Val 😞

The last Shane Black film I had left to watch, was hoping for less The Predator, more The Nice Guys - turns out this IS basically The Nice Guys.

Not a complaint. I fucking love The Nice Guys, but the similarities are kinda crazy. This is arguably more witty, the comedy just keeps on landing and landing, very sharp. Every detail is important and the twists are well implemented, it’s just really, really good.

Downey, Kilmer and Monaghan are a sensational trio, all equally hilarious and giving strong performances. Downey in particular impresses getting most of the screen time - easily the funniest I’ve seen from him, no wonder he got Black to direct Iron Man 3.

Yet another Shane Black film that should have, and never got a sequel. I really want another film from him after the disaster that was The Predator, although it seems he still has a sentence to carry out in Director Jail.
