I haven't uncontrollably sniggered like that in so long and it's so clear why after watching modern-day 'comedies'. 2000s UK looks like the word nostalgia for me, and this movie captures it exactly. Rowan Atkinson is a comedic genius and not once did his performance feel put on. It must have been so hard not to laugh while filming. Parodies aren't new but this is in its own league. The casting/acting is unforgettably fitting. The writing is simple and smart, and the directing somehow is timeless. The story hits the satire like a nail. Also, people need to learn about parodies, the ratings are a disgrace. The names Bean...Mr. Bean.

SHEESH! One of the best movies ever made!! Rowan Atkinson and his incredible acting makes the movie even better! Such an amazing plot. Loved it with every single atom of my being.

Johnny English is stupid in the best possible way. Rowan Atkinson turns every scene into pure comedy with his clueless spy routine. The plot is ridiculous, the action is fun, and somehow it all works. Not sophisticated, just genuinely entertaining.

I saw this in theaters when I was a child and I thought it was the peak of comedy. I rewatched it for the first time since and it still cracks me up enough.
