This is a slow burn, more of a character study, really digs into how regular, good people may behave when faced with life or death, survival at all costs, protect your family situations.

Acting ON POINT 💯
Loved it even though the trailer is really misleading! (It is not as actively ‘horror’ as in the trailer and many people were deceived)

I also loved the screen effect to add stress! Really worked!

A24 always kills it, good movie. idk if I’d watch it again but I think it’s the kind of movie that depending on your mood or current situation, it will lead you to a new conclusion on how the storyline played out. cont in comments

An episode of The Walking Dead, but with no zombies.

i dont think this counts as horror more like a thriller imo also it wasnt like HORRIBLE just boring

A lot of folks thought it was boring and not the zombie movie they signed up for- I loved it, the ever present race away from death itself. Little things we give in to so we can let our guard down and feel comfort. Great cast. Worth a watch knowing it’s sort of slow and achey.

This is NOT a creature feature. It is a slow burn apocalyptic character study. Knowing that, this is a great suspense story that lots man against man, and family against family. It is sold very differently.

Interesting butterfly effect type of movie and realistic apocalypse story

It was really slow and you never really have answers for what they were running from, what the sickness is and why there seems to be some creepy element that is never shown. Meh. Good for about 20-30 minutes.

Fairly interesting. Nothing that happened was really explained, but it wasn't completely bad. (7-22-26)

and just when you think it’s building to a climax? nope. more silence. more anxiety. nothing comes. except existential despair.

Excellent slow burn. Ending was tough and brutal (in a good way).

The way they could’ve delivered a stronger finale, the buildup was great and precise, the eerie atmosphere and bleak tone of the movie are it’s strong points. Joel Edgerton delivered a good performance tho but overall the movie ends up being a whole lot of nothing at the end.
