Is God Is Reviews

A revenge Thriller that burns with intense lessons to be learned and taught through wrath.

the sister with the burns on her face is lowk shit. movie plot was kinda spotty, seemed like they were just trying to do stuff to extend the screentime. also the incest stuff was unnecessary

Great directorial debut. Lots of cool techniques in here.

Best example was the use of text for the twin telepathy.

Solid story and solid characters.

Late night solo showing might’ve altered my feelings about this movie a bit, but all in all a good movie.

And you thought your family had issues?! I went into this completely blind, and I was not prepared for what I was about to witness! I was a little disappointed with the ending, but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

This is my new measure for worst movie I have ever seen, it was so insanely bad , I have no clue how people are rating this so highly , the characters all make horrible choices learn nothing throughout and are all super predictable, the lowest possible dislike i have ever given.

All because she told him no to having sex THIS ASS STARTED CAUSE U WAS A WEAK ASS BITCH

So fucking good! That’s all. Just watch it

The film feels stylish, emotional, twisted & layered in a way that keeps unfolding scene after scene. Inspirations from Tarantino & Jordan Peele, but it still feels completely original. Cast brings so much power to the screen. One of those movies that sticks with you.

It wasn’t what expected but I still enjoyed it. It’s definitely a little dark and should’ve had a warning. But excellent writing and great actors!!

Incredibly stylized revenge flick. The twins had great chemistry and the twinepathy was fun. Everyone was amazing, Sterling K too, especially since he only properly shows up 80 minutes in. Hand to hand combat was a miss and I wish it was bloodier. ALSO MOSES SUMNEY!!

Yes! And, never need to see Sterling K that way again but he killed it.

Just, so fucking insane, I adore this movie. I love the narration providing the characters' unreliable perspectives on themselves, the text on screen appearing like poetry and a fantastic soundtrack. The leads are incredible and I can't wait to see more from Aleshea Harris

Very rarely does film translate to pure poetry in motion and almost never as raw and vulnerable as is filmed here. Aleshea Harris directs the FUCK out of this beautiful Tarantinoesque Greek tragedy held down by two unfathomably grounded performances from Johnson and Young!

4/5 - very stylistically cool & solid story about revenge. i enjoyed the dynamic between the sisters and how they each approached the situation. overall a good first piece from aleshea harris

Sterling K. Brown was a showstopper.

Girlie had a sock and a dream

There were some things I wish didn’t happen, but it’s horror and that was kind of the point. So so good. Loved the text on the screen for the twin telepathy. Great soundtrack too

Didn’t like this movie. Felt so forced and over the top. Felt like they were trying to make something feel deeper and more meaningful than it needed to be. Also, was weird and stupid. Looked like they were attempting to make an artsy film but it felt so forced.

Gotta love some good ol’ revenge-driven film. Stylish and satisfying, indeed.

have been very excited to watch this and i haven’t been this invested in a movie in a minute
