Usually I'd watch the first one first, but my dad wanted to watch this one. Donnie Yen embodies this character, and even though I don't know the story behind the real Yip Man other than Wing Chun and Bruce Lee's mentor, I feel he does him justice. There are a lot of great fight sequences, heartfelt moments, and a villain you love to see get his ass kicked!

This film was like a mix of Rocky 2 & 4. Earning respect after starting from nothing & proving yourself against doubters. The final fight becomes about more than one man, turning into a battle for national pride against a powerful foreign opponent.

A worthy sequel to the original film, Ip man 2 mixes some spectacular martial arts choreography and intriguing story that truly excels my original expectations. Donnie Yen gives an amazing performance and the rest add the final touches to this epic martial arts film. 9.5/10!!!!!!
