Where’s the horror? Where’s the dread?

Incredible cast. Several twists I didn’t see coming. Kept thinking it was over no way to escape and then somehow it just kept going and going. Dog scared me so much and the ending 😳

This is one that I’m going to have fun rewatching in a few years. The 4k Blu-ray looked and sounded great. But man… that ending was great.

Not bad but also not good
Love how everything is happening and the viewer is left clueless only seeing what the character sees. practical effects look amazing.
Other than that movie is slow, acting is meh, editing weird at times. Almost 50 years later better than twilight

There’s this scene where Jeff Goldblum’s character keeps talking over Donald Sutherland’s character when he’s on the phone. I don’t think it’s even meant to be comedic but I couldn’t stop laughing and I kept rewinding it to watch it again.
Also both these guys in this movie 😋👌

the movie was good

Really enjoyed, definitely a slow burn and extremely well done effects especially considering the time. My only gripe is that it is far from pg, I would go as far as saying it should be an R rated movie.

Dog scene was funny

5/10 this was awful, struggled to get through it tbh.

It was slow at first but it picked up. Just confused on the whole story. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me

actually very effective horror elements, i enjoyed the plot and the characters and there were some surprisingly impressive effects
it also conveyed the feeling of helplessness in a great way
could’ve been like 30 minutes shorter tho…

I’ve been wanting to see this film for a while now, I just wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy it since the big “twist” ending had already been spoiled for me a while back. Turns out it made a big difference since all I was doing was waiting for it to happen.

I really liked this movie it was a classic suspenful venture of aliens, it definitely founded the franchise
