It’s the Will Smith ranting at and dragging an alien corpse through the desert and then yelling at a bunch of US military members for me.

This was fun. I can see why it’s a classic. Some great speeches in this.
Also made me yearn for having a good president again °◠°

Don’t believe the snobs, ID4 is a definite crowd pleaser. I’m lucky enough to have seen it in theaters (several times) the year it came out.
The sequel is forgettable.

This classic Sci-Fi film is director Roland Emmerich at his best, while still incredibly stupid and full of explosions and cheesy one-liners like what this filmmaker is known to do, is a thrilling good time with state-of-the-art effects for its time, and a solid cast.

Arguably the greatest July 4 movie of all time. Made will smith the daddy that he is today.

to be fair i don't think it's objectively bad, but i don't love sci-fi in general and this was incredibly boring to me. i fell asleep watching
