An odd story of romance, second chances, and the small moments of daily life we reminisce about all because of the person they were spent with. An odd story of two people who are trying to help one another, and in the end, it’s debatable if they ever did. Beautifully looking.

Not trying to be mean but what is the significance of this film? Sure there are a couple engaging scenes, but there’s nothing that stands out.

The only reason i judge this so hard is because this is criterion and known as one of the best movies of all time.

I didn’t dislike it because it was a slow burn, but the narrative itself wasn’t that interesting to me. Maybe it stands out for its cinematography? Even then that aspect wasn’t anything too special.

One thing i will give this movie is its score. It was very beautiful and had a solemn tone which i enjoyed.

This isn’t a badly made film by any means, but just not for me ig.

Thought it was gonna justify an affair, but quickly realized it was criticizing it. Beautifully shot, written, and acted commentary on how lonely people often mistake lust for love. Gosling and Mulligan's performances in Drive were definitely inspired by this film.
