Igby Goes Down

kieran culkin did such an amazing job. what an underrated movie for such a star studded cast. the plot was so interesting and i liked that you could see the downfalls of ALL the characters. at times i was like “woah he’s a minor” but overall very interesting 8.8/10

I was a lil lost

I saw the beginning of this movie years ago and I turned it off with the promise of "I'll watch it when the time is right", whatever that meant then.

This is my last day being 17. Igby is 17 and throughout the movie struggles with early adulthood and the weight of his family, which I understand to a point. Obviously not as bad as he did though.

I finished this movie finally after putting it off for so long and I'm glad I did because it was really a great movie, and I love Kieran in everything. It was a lot like a film version of The Catcher in the Rye, which is my all-time favorite book, so it was definitely fitting. Overall though, I enjoyed watching this and I'm left with the thought that I, too, am drowning in assholes, Igby.
