How to Make a Killing
How to Make a Killing(?) A decent one-off, but ultimately forgettable. I didn't know what to expect, and I don't know what I got. Too plain to be action, too blunt to be a thriller, too rushed to be a romance, too random to be a mystery, and too unfunny to be a comedy. That said, the script does have a bit of it all, but without much solidity. There's chemistry in the casting, satire in the script, and engagement in the story. It lost me in the ending before the ending, and then the ending brought me back. I make it convoluted because that's exactly how I feel.

How to Make a Killing had a pretty interesting concept with crime and family drama mixed together, but it doesn’t fully deliver. The pacing feels a bit slow, and it never gets as intense or crazy as you expect. There are some solid moments.

How to Make a Killing
How to Make A Killing is a film that it just fun to watch. It’s not something really that unique, it’s not making huge new strides in cinema but it’s just fun and that’s ok. Glen Powell knows how to make someone smile and enjoy themselves while watching a film.

How to Make a Killing
Was this a bit all over the place? Sure. But it’s quite the simple concept and honestly makes for a decent story. It could’ve benefited from a more artistic approach, and perhaps something more intense to enhance and clarify the message. Glen Powell is a good lead and Margaret Qualley did the best she could with the material she was given. If there is a standout, it’s Jessica Henwick. Overall, not bad as it is.

Margaret Qualley and Glen Powell always deliver. This film was so fun to watch. Nothing unique but it’s a breath of fresh air with a twisted comedy and a great pace. It serves the “eat the rich” energy we wanted. Morally grey? Yes. Did I enjoy every second of it? Absolutely.
