Kind of forgettable, but it’s such a good way to spread the importance of film to younger audiences

9.5/10 this is such a sweet movie💚. i absolutely love Asa Butterfield, and every movie ive seen him in has been amazing! the only reason its not a 10 is because i feel like it could’ve been a bit shorter and still have been a great movie.

A whimsical and charming movie about purpose and the magic of the movies, and a great story in its own right too. Great visuals, camera work, and memorable performances help bring the movie to life. And it has a character named Monsieur Frick. What's not to like? I like the subtle humor (Isabelle using complex words Hugo doesn't know, Monsieur Frick, etc.) It's a tear-jerker. Movies: "dreams in the middle of the day."

Wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be found myself nearly falling asleep

good for background noise while you aimlessly scroll on your phone, i guess 🤷🏼♂️

The only movie I ever remember falling asleep while watching. Don’t remember much besides a notebook, but probably won’t watch again.

The ending was pretty good and the message about film is sweet but the characters for me come off as annoying and the story isn’t very interesting.
