One of the best romance movies of all time. The way it covers falling in love is so beautiful. The actors have marvellous chemistry. You truly feel like you are there with them, experiencing everything that they are.

REWATCH: Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey have such fiery chemistry that it’s hard not to love them together. The premise of them both deceiving the other in order to help their careers is rom com gold. Also, have you seen the way Matthew looks at her in this movie??? SWOON!!!

I love the aesthetics of this movie it's incredibly charming. I also love a good realisation you're in love moment. I just wish movies could show a bit more of the couple properly getting together although this movie can be forgiven for the long dating plotline.

surprised to say that i really enjoyed this film. great chemistry and script. not as funny as people say it is but few chuckles here and there. the biggest con is that there was no emotional development. too much of the movie is dedicated to andie being over the top.

Such a classic, so funny. Made me giggle, I will take her advice 🤓

What I like about movies from around the 2000s is that they’re easy to watch. They don’t bore you or feel tiring on the contrary, they’re actually enjoyable. There aren’t any vulgar scenes, which makes them feel even more genuine.

6.6 - it’s a like on my scale but a meh in my heart. Maybe I’m just (still) really not a rom-com fan, or maybe I’m jaded. I thought this was going to be one of the peaks of the genre, having known about it forever & hearing how often it’s a favorite for others.

But I just didn’t love it. The chemistry is solid, the central idea is clever, the early 2000s soundtrack hit, & it got a few chuckles. But when all was said & done, I have zero faith in that couple. And that’s what I want more than anything at the end of a rom-com. They don’t actually know each other, they only know the extremes presented, molded by the competition.

I guess I can understand it being a classic for the genre in some ways, but not really my cup of tea.
