Stellar soundtrack, iconic dances, and nonstop laughs. House Party remains the gold standard for teen comedies. Kid 'n Play is a blast to watch, and the film's "hyperkinetic wavelength keeps you hooked from the first beat. Still a 'hearty party" 35 years later!

Just not my cup of tea. Weak story, a couple of fun scenes but nothing that lasts in my memory. Very forgettable.

Hip hop culture lived out through a prime theme of hip hop, house parties

this movie is the epitome of the 90s ☠️ it was pretty funny, and i was engaged the whole time. the dance off scene was SO GOOD and seeing martin and tisha “flirt” in this was ironic considering that they’re in love in a different universe 😭😭 i’d rate this a 7/10 for entertainment
