House of Wax

It’s an early 2000’s slasher through & through: mediocre acting, a soundtrack loaded with alt rock, and great practical gore. It got my skin crawling a few times actually. Only watch if you like campy horror. My only wish is that Paris Hilton was the main protagonist. 💅🏼

super creative concept & was very unsettling, but still kept that good old extreme cheesiness aspect. the soundtrack is 🔥. i wish the characters had more development. acting wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be 🕯️

okay don’t get me wrong it’s a good horror film but it’s the first scary movie that i ever watched and it left me with ptsd to wax and i can never watch this movie again. it’s campy and scary and gross. but i’m saying i dislike it cause damn it just doesn’t sit well with me.

I thought it was going to be scarier, but overall it was a great thriller and Bo was eye candy.

Grisly and gross, just like I hoped for. I went in blind and was pleasantly surprised with chad Michael Murray, who I rooted for pretty hard. The deaths were also gnarly and reveals weren’t super surprising but were still fun

A very good backwoods slasher with a well done score and impressive practical effects.
