8/10 Complex story leaving you feeling empathy for both characters. Women gets evicted from her home by local government screwing up and then the city sells to a new owner. The movie is heavy and dark. One time watch for sure. Connely and Kingston are both amazing!!

Very sad and frustrating because a lot of pain in this story could have easily been avoided

In case you forget the title of the movie don’t worry cause the director reminds you with 562746 shots of a house in the sand and fog.

Well done but really sad

Intense and very depressing, but beautifully acted.

Read the book and then watched the movie! Both are good to great! The acting is awesome and I would suggest reading the book first!

An incredible thought provoking film about alienation and a conflict that completely destroys five people’s lives. Ben Kingsley and Jennifer Connelly give fantastic performances. An emotional film with an ending that completely shocked me.

Connelly once again plays a really unlikable character. What I don't understand is why they paint her out to be the hero in this story. Very frustrating film to watch and idc if that was the point, i don't feel entertained when im ending the movie angry.
