10/10 i love dakota fanning as a little girl a lot of sad things but a good movie

I thought this was sad for the girl but it was an interesting watch.

Solid child performances. This movie is horribly overshadowed by a singular (albeit devastating) plot point. It is a coming of age tale in a far-from-desirable upbringing.

“What in the Alabama?” Originated from this movie, I swear. This little girl is her father’s daughter, but her mother is also her father’s sister. Who stole her father from her mother’s sister, her aunt. This little girl didn’t deserve that kind of life. 💔
