Another movie I can’t say I particularly enjoyed but didn’t hate. Sandy slayed, but it felt very cliche and I found the guy to be very off putting. I think the mother daughter relationships were very realistic, but damn sometimes she was a bitch to her child. Loved the grandma🫶

5/10 very mid. I love that little Mae Whitman is in this!! She’s so cute ☺️

some of y’all completely missed the point of this movie. these characters aren’t annoying, they’re emotionally complex and messy the way real people are. grief is yelling and laughing and crying, no matter how old you are. this was beautifully done.

plus i just absolutely adore “love stories” that aren’t centered around romantic love

When I’m finally starting to like the grandma she goes and dies 😭. Anyways the husband and best friend can rot in hell.

Another movie I only saw because it was starring Sandra Bullock.

It’s was really sweet and I thought it portrayed different dynamics and relationships very well!

cute movie, very emotional and heartfelt. love how all of their relationships evolve throughout the movie. however, I think the dialogue and overall pacing could have been better. I was sad when her mom passed away :(

I just wished they gave her time to heal from her last relationship rather than throwing in a rebound relationship just settling in for someone who she is clearly out of his league
But i understand it was made in the 90s

Why have enemies when you can come home to a town with no sympathy, understanding or manners? Payoff is way too late and little.
